The Space
Bind Your Story will be hosted at LOCAL Shop & Tasting Bar at Bay Gardens, a relaxed creative space showcasing locally and Caribbean-made artisan products alongside an art gallery featuring work by established and emerging artists.
Our small workshop group will have a dedicated area to create, while LOCAL remains open for the evening. Settle in, enjoy your included beverage, and spend two hours making something entirely your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not at all. Bind Your Story is designed specifically for beginners, so you do not need any previous experience with bookbinding, painting or craft-making. I’ll guide you through the process step by step, from preparing your pages to binding and finishing your notebook.
No. All of the materials and basic tools you’ll need to create your notebook will be provided, including paper, binding materials, cover options and decorating supplies. One complimentary beverage is also included. You’re welcome to bring your own apron or wear something you don’t mind getting a little paint on, but it isn’t required.
Yes. You’ll have two options. You can paint and decorate your own cover during the workshop, or you can choose from a curated selection of printed cover designs created from my original artwork. If you’re not sure which option you want, you can decide when you arrive.
Each participant will leave with one completed, personalized hand-bound notebook that you’ve helped assemble yourself. You’ll also leave with a basic understanding of the perfect-binding process and how the different parts of a notebook come together.
The workshop will take place at LOCAL Shop & Tasting Bar at Bay Gardens, Island House, Hodges Bay. The workshop group will have a dedicated creative area within the venue while the shop remains open during the evening.
The workshop is open to teens and adults ages 13 and over. It’s a good fit for anyone who enjoys stationery, art, journaling, crafts or simply wants to try something new in a relaxed setting.
Absolutely. The workshop is open to both residents and visitors. Registration can be completed online, and international participants can pay via PayPal, making it easy to secure your place before arriving in Antigua.
There are only 10 spaces available. The group is intentionally kept small so that everyone has enough room to work and can receive individual guidance during the workshop.
Your place is confirmed once full payment has been received. Because capacity is limited, submitting the registration form alone does not reserve a seat until payment is completed.
Please review the cancellation policy before registering. Refunds are available for cancellations made within the stated cancellation window, and registrations may also be transferred to another person if you’re unable to attend.
